Interactive Brokers account query

Hi. Just have a question regarding my account balance information. I have deposited aud into my account and used usd as my base currency. My account balance seems to fluctuate with the exchange rate of the aud. Is there a way to stop the fluctuation? As or dollar falls so does my account balance. Or what other options do I have?
